What is Profitflo, and how can it help my business?

Profitflo is a hybrid bookkeeping and financial strategy/coaching service. We help small businesses understand their financials and use them to help them grow and succeed. In the background we make sure your bookkeeping is in check so you have more time to spend working on the business.
Who do you work with?

We work with Australian small businesses either just starting out or have a few years of experience under their belt but are realising that they need more help with the financial side of things. We work with companies that are service based meaning, their main source of income comes from providing a service (not selling products).
What makes Profitflo different from other accounting and coaching services?

Most accountants don't focus on empowering their small business clients - instead, they get your accounting done behind the scenes and have a heavy focus on tax. Business coaches focus on the fun stuff like hiring, bringing in more sales or marketing your business but totally ignore the financials - the foundation of every business. We combine these two missing aspects and creates a unique approach to helping small businesses.
What’s included in a financial strategy session?

That really depends on where the business we are working with is at. One business may be struggling with their cash flow and another is struggling to reach their profit targets. So the session will look different for each. We offer cash flow tracking, pricing strategy, profit deep dive sessions and general business knowledge sessions.
Will you fix my business for me?

No, the ultimate responsibility to fix a business rests with the business owner. It's easy to leave it all up to someone else to fix however, then the outcome is out of your hands. We arm you with the knowledge to move forward and make a informed decision but at the end of the day - it's you who has to make the final call.
I already have a bookkeeper - can I keep them and just get the sessions?

In the past we've found that bookkeepers do their work on their time so when it comes to a strategy call with us, much of the time the books are not accurate and up to date. For this reason, all services must have bookkeeping passed on to us so you get the full benefit of the strategy sessions.
Is BAS and Income Tax included in the service?

We don't include tax services, you will need to get your external tax accountant to prepare this for you. Many people don't know that there are two types of accounting. Tax accounting is totally different from what we do - they focus on minimising your tax bill and this usually means a mindset of profit minimisation (less profit = less tax). We are strategic accountants that focus on profit maximisation. We always keep tax in mind but we do not include it as it would be a huge contradiction and you would be left confused.
Do you work remotely or in-person?

All our work is done remote because our clients are all over Australia. The platforms we use are Zoom to meet virtually and document sharing is via Google apps.
